The goal of the Arts facet is to produce and support programs to enrich the quality of life of our youth and communities through educational and engaging art experiences while Transforming Communities, Fulfilling our Purpose. These Initiatives and Programs include:
- National Poster Art Competition
- Taking STEM into STEAM by adding ART
- The Sphinx Organization (Detroit)
- Classics Through the Ages
Arts Facet Signature Programs
- Poster Arts Contest
- Classics Through the Ages – This program focuses on arts education and mentorship to cultivate interest in the classical arts and promotes arts education among African American youth. We pique their interest, increase their knowledge and encourage their continued study in the classical arts.
Arts Facet Integrated Program
- Future Ready – In partnership with William J. Christian K-8 School, we fight against the negative effects of social media on social interactions. This program is aimed at impacting the futures of young females. Students participate in sessions that teach them to be successful in all future endeavors.
