Linked in Friendship, Connected in Service.

In the summer of 1990, Helen Shores Lee, President, along with members of the Birmingham (AL) Chapter selected thirty women to form an interest group to prepare to become the second chartered chapter of The Links, Incorporated. Under the guidance and support of the Birmingham Chapter, these dynamic women engaged in activities to demonstrate their commitment and bond of friendship with each other.

Two years later, Curioso Interest group was officially approved on April 16, 1992. The group continued to engage in activities to support the programmatic interest of the Links, Incorporated and bond of friendship. The Curioso Interest Group was officially chartered as the Magic City (AL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated on August 21, 1993. The weekend was filled with festivities to mark this important celebration with the National President, Marion Schultz Sutherland, Marion Ridley Sweeney, Chapter Establishment Officer and Southern Area Director, Katie R. Bell.

Since its inception, The Links of Magic City (AL) Chapter have continued to serve the community for over twenty-five years, implementing Sustainable Transformational Programming with their Magic City style.

The Magic City (AL) Chapter is one of three chapters in Birmingham, and nine in Alabama. We proudly serve within the Southern area, comprised of eight regions in the United States and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
